A non-illuminated sign simply means the sign is not lighted. Non-illuminated signs have other ways to catch the customer's eye such as high performance enamel finishes, custom frames and workmanship and placement.

Non-illuminated signs still use the same materials as illuminated signs such as metal frames, acrylic faces, and elements of shapes and colours. The big difference being that it is more cost effective, lighter, and of course no light source. However you can still illuminate this type of signage by installing an external light to project onto the sign to make it easier to see at night.
